With a passion for writing and a wealth of experience, Karyn founded KLG Communications, providing tailored coaching and practical resources that empower others to excel in their communication endeavours.
I am passionate about writing and I’m passionate about getting other people to write well – to write persuasively.
Karyn is a trained educator and loves to give writers strategies – to make writing easier and for researchers to enjoy the process of writing.
Through her training and mentoring, her clients have stopped wasting opportunities and time, rebooted their confidence and professional pride, and achieved remarkable professional outcomes.
Karyn developed her five-step process for writers to utilise the power of words, and communicate their passion for their research.
Karyn’s substantial experience draws on knowledge and training gained in the university sector and private business, both in Australia and Europe. This experience, gained from teaching, leading, mentoring and managing in a variety of learning contexts is recognised internationally. Karyn is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I’ve collated my knowledge about writing and strategies to write efficiently and effectively, based on my experiences of – researching how people learn, and how people learn English as a second language, and my experiences of teaching, leading, mentoring and managing in a variety of learning contexts in Australia and Europe.
My work with academic researchers – and commercial researchers in industry shows they never factor in enough time to plan their writing.
Plan they say! I have a deadline! And they start their writing process by writing – which is step 4 of 5 for me. I needed a general process for all of these researchers to use.
My knowledge and experiences are in this very practical book – to show everyone that writing is a very do’able 5 step process!!!
